On Thursday 28 February the Rev Canon Dr Robin Greenwood, Ministry Officer for the Church in Wales, launched a new book entitled Transforming Church, Liberating Structures for Ministry. The 160-page volume is published by SPCK and is priced at £9.99.

Wales is to have a new Archbishop - Guide Rhian Hartshorn, 12 is to step into the Archbishop of Wales's shoes for a day in aid of the BBC Children in Need appeal. In turn, Most Rev Dr Rowan Williams, is to take her place at Oakdale Comprehensive School for the day and will follow her time-table.

The Church in Wales has surveyed all its churches to identify resources that could help promote churches as tourist attractions. Every parish in Wales received a survey form from a group of tourism consultants. One of the projects being supported by the Church in Wales Jubilee Fund is Rawdat El-Zuhur School, a Christian-run primary school in East Jerusalem. In addition to funding the provision of school dinners for children at the school, some schools in Wales have linked with Rawdat El-Zuhur, pupils corresponding through the exchange of e-mails

The Electoral College of the Church in Wales, meeting at the Church of the Holy Trinity, Llandrindod Wells, has nominated the Rt Revd Dr Rowan Douglas Williams as Archbishop of Wales in succession to the Most Revd Alwyn Rice Jones who retired earlier this year.
