Memorial fund set up for family of Father Paul Bennett

Parishes across the country are pledging collections for the family of murdered vicar Father Paul Bennett. They will also be praying for the bereaved family as they prepare for Father Paul’s funeral on Tuesday. The money collected during services in churches over the next few weeks will be given to Father Paul’s widow, Georgina.

80th Bishop of Bangor elected

At a press conference held today at the Church in Wales' provincial offices in Cardiff (1100 am, Tuesday 4 May 2004), the result of the episcopal election to choose the 80th Bishop of Bangor was announced. The next Bishop of Bangor is to be the Ven Anthony Crockett, presently Archdeacon of Carmarthen in the diocese of St Davids.
