On 15th March 2006, I and all the people of Uganda woke up to read in The New Vision that Christopher Ssenyonjo, the second Bishop of West Buganda Diocese, had a new 'Archbishop called Howard' in America and had formed a new denomination called the Charismatic Church of Uganda, and had consecrated a bishop.

The Church of the Province of Uganda's Provincial Secretary, the Revd Canon Stanley Ntagali, has been elected the new Bishop of Masindi-Kitara Diocese in north-western Uganda. He will be the first bishop of the diocese. Also CMS Africa's the Revd Dr Zac Niringiye has been elected Assistant Bishop of Kampala
