Four Roman Catholic nuns and 12 other staff and residents at a care home for the elderly in the Yemeni port city of Aden were killed on Friday in an attack that has been blamed on Daesh. The nuns were members of the Missionaries of Charity, the order founded by Mother Teresa of Calcutta. The Anglican Bishop of Cyprus and the Gulf, Bishop Michael Lewis, has expressed concern following the killing.

Security forces in Pakistan have conducted a full-scale security exercise at a Peshawar Diocese school following terrorist attacks at other educational institutions in the area. The exercise was part of a general review of security at schools which has seen 230 educational facilities closed because of inadequate security.

A bomb at a Polio clinic in south west Pakistan has left people feeling “very frightened,” the Bishop of Karachi, the Rt Revd Sadiq Daniel, said. Speaking to the UK’s Premier Christian Radio, Bishop Daniel said that “People can't react. . . The only reaction is that they're scared. They're scared and they're very frightened.”
