More than 200 people from Pakistan’s different faith communities were brought together by the diocese of Raiwind’s peacebuilding department to mark three significant religious festivals as part of efforts to promote understanding, respect, and to build relationships between people of different faiths.

Anglicans and other Christians are being asked to pray for the peace of Jerusalem on Christmas Eve, using a special litany which has emerged from the Diocese of Jerusalem’s daily prayers at St George’s Cathedral.

In Psalm 122, King David extols us to pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Now the Diocese of Jerusalem is inviting us to do just that. They have produced and shared a Litany for Peace in the Holy Land. They are asking churches and Christians around the world to use it in their prayers on the first Sunday in Advent – 29 November 2015.
