The decision making body of the Anglican Church of PNG (ACPNG), known as the Provincial Council has elected a new Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea. The election took place at the Provincial Council Meeting which was held in Port Moresby on 11th June 2010

I received the news about the disaster which hit Popondota Diocese, during my Diocesan Synod, so we ended the Synod three days earlier to the actual closing day.

Father Kopapa is currently the Chaplain of Martyrs' Memorial School near Popondetta, the Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea's oldest high school. The date of his consecration has yet been set, but it is likely to take place in January 2006.
