The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, has given a cautious welcome to proposals outlined by the Episcopal Church in the United States to offer alternative forms of oversight to dissenting parishes and dioceses. 20 November saw the beginning of the celebrations for the 40th anniversary of the Anglican Centre in Rome. Celebratory events include the re-launching of the library on 20 November following its recent expansion (1,000 new volumes added, taking the total to 14,000).
