The historic Anglican mission agency CMS (the Church Mission Society) has appealed to its community to pray for the recruitment process for a new Executive Director. The move comes following the appointment of the organisation’s Community Leader Revd Canon Tim Dakin to the bishopric of Winchester.

La Province de l’Eglise Anglicane du Congo (PEAC) a participé activement à l’atelier de deux jours tenu, du 17 au 18 Aout 2011, au Centre Pallottin de Goma et portant sur la Réponse de l’Eglise face au problème des Violences Sexuelles Basées sur le Genre (V.S.B.G.). Sur les 55 participants, la PEAC a été représentée par 15 personnes dont quatre Evêques (Mgr Ande, Mgr Bahati, Mgr Bahemuka et Sa Grâce Isingoma).

The Church of England is calling on the UK Government to slow down plans to drop the rate of returns on electricity grid feed-in tariffs for solar panels to give churches and other community groups more time to complete installation. It is also asking for a special community tariff.
