The Anglican Church [in Australia] is set to radically change how it ministers to its flock in outback Queensland. Because of the vast distances involved in servicing the central-west, the Anglican Church says it is physically impossible for one ordained person to minister to the whole region.

Two academic lawyers who helped to secure the legal status of the Church of England in Italy are amongst a group of people to be recognised by the Archbishop of Canterbury for services to the Anglican Communion. The award of the new Cross of St Augustine award to Professor Salvatore Bordonali and Professor Fabiano Di Prima was announced today alongside a host of other new Lambeth Awards.

A draft report detailing theological resources for times of persecution has been published by the Anglican Inter Faith Network. The document, “Out of the Depths – Hope in a time of suffering” is “an Anglican contribution to ecumenical engagement” and will be discussed during next month’s meeting of the Anglican Consultative Council in Lusaka.
