Namirembe Diocese celebrated the completion of Project Ttegula in a festive Thanksgiving service at St. Paul’s Cathedral on Sunday, 23rd November 2014.

Project Ttegula raised more than 2.3 billion Ugandan shillings for exterior and interior repairs and renovations to the Cathedral, which is the mother church for Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi, and Boga-Zaire.

The Nnabagereka of Buganda graced the occasion, along with retired Prime Minister Apollo Nsimbambi and seven active and retired Bishops.

Archbishop Stanley Ntagali preached an encouraging message, commending Bishop Wilberforce Luwalira for his strong leadership. He congratulated the Diocese and Christians for their forward-looking commitment to being stewards of such a great resource for the church.

The Cathedral is a living testimony to the power of the Gospel for generations to come and is a great light on a hill that no one can put out. Congratulations, and “Well done, good and faithful servants.”
