[Malawi Voice] The Anglican Church has strongly blamed some politicians in Mangochi for allegedly sponsoring demonstrations that claimed one life on Friday last week.
Bishop Brighton Malasa said he has some information that some overzealous politicians were behind the violence.
“I condemn what had happened in the strongest terms. I was saddened that people can go that far out of political greed,” said Malasa, head of Anglican Diocese of Upper Shire.
Malasa said it was unfortunate that despite signing peace declaration politicians went to sponsor violence.
