Anglicans help in poverty eradication

[The Monitor by Maureen Odubeng] The Anglican Women's Fellowship (AWF) under the Anglican Diocese of Botswana, hosted a conference themed 'Revive, Relate, Rejoice Women of God' to mark AWFs 20th Anniversary.

Issues addressed at the gathering included the role of the church in fighting poverty, women in poverty, with a variety of issues including challenges faced by women. Speakers at the event, Magdeline Mabuse and Vanqa, informed the gathering that AWF, after conducting a study, engaged in an outreach programme, aimed at addressing issues of poverty, violence, and disease amongst others.
