The ordination to the Priesthood in 1959 and 1964 was celebrated on St Peter's Day, 29 June, in St Patrick's Cathedral, Armagh when a group of clergy and wives gathered for Holy Communion.
The Primate and Archbishop of Armagh, the Most Revd Robin Eames, who was celebrant, was joined by colleagues who were ordained priests in 1964. The Address was given by the Dean of Armagh, the Very Reverend Herbert Cassidy, who was accompanied by clergy who were ordained priests in 1959.
This anniversary of 40 and 45 years priesthood in the Church re-united colleagues who have served all their Ministry in the Church of Ireland as well as those who had served in other parts of the Anglican Communion.
The Old Testament reading was read by Canon W J Marshall, the Epistle by the Very Reverend J T F Paterson and the Gospel by the Reverend W McC Johnston. The intercessions were led by the Rev Canon M C Kennedy.
