A Solemn Eucharist and Blessing of the new Anglican Communion office (ACO) was held on Friday 5 March at 10.30 a.m. with the Most Revd Rowan Williams, Archbishop of Canterbury presiding.
The Archbishop also officially opened and blessed each room of St Andrew's House in West London, which the Anglican Communion Office moved into at the end of last year. A large number of representatives from across the Communion attended the service, including representatives from Wales, Ireland, England, Uganda, Central Africa, West Indies, India, Palestine, the USA, and Syria. Presiding Bishop John Paterson, Primate of Aotearoa. New Zealand and Polynesia, and chairman of the Anglican Consultative Council preached at the service.
