[ACNS source: Lambeth Palace] The Archbishop of Canterbury, Dr Rowan Williams, has held talks with the Chairman of the Iraqi Governing Council, Mr Abdul Aziz Al-Hakim and senior colleagues at Lambeth Palace. The meeting, which was at the request of the Archbishop's guests, lasted about one hour.
The discussions covered a wide range of issues and focussed particularly on religious tolerance and freedom, and the role of faith communities in building social and political cohesion in Iraq.
