Dr Isabel Wollaston of the University of Birmingham gave a recent guest lecture at Canterbury Christ Church University College. Her subject: 'Christianising the Holocaust: Auschwitz and the Politics of Sacred Space.'

Canterbury Christ Church is a broadly based University College in the heart of Canterbury, virtually adjacent to Canterbury Cathedral. As an Anglican Foundation, it has a vibrant and highly esteemed Department of Religious Studies.

Religious Studies and Theology

First and higher degrees, RS teacher training, and MPhil and PhD research opportunities are available at a University College in the heart of Canterbury. At first degree level we offer Religious Studies and Theology as single honours programmes and in combined honours schemes. At postgraduate level the MA in Modern Theology and the MA Jewish-Christian Relations.

Training for Religious Education teachers is available in our acclaimed Education Faculty - at primary level, key stages 2 and 3 and secondary.

Research in Canterbury

The Department of Religious Studies can offer research supervision in most areas of Theology, as well as in Religious Studies.
