For the first time in over 25 years the College of the Resurrection, Mirfield, West Yorkshire has filled all its ordinand-training places for the coming academic year.

Each year the college has a Church of England allocation of 38 - already a waiting list has been put in place for the academic year 2002/03.

The College of the Resurrection, an affiliated college of the University of Leeds, is a community of men and women engaged in theological study in the context of a shared life centred on the liturgy. The College's primary responsibility is the training and formation of Anglican candidates for priesthood.

"The response we have received from interested individuals has been phenomenal. It is encouraging to know that such a response will be repeated next year. We have already started giving places for the academic year 2002/03," said Revd Christopher Irvine, Principal.
