The Archbishop of Canterbury paid a visit to Liverpool on Wednesday 23rd February.
His first engagement (2.30pm) was at HCTS to meet staff and course students. Set up about 20 years ago, HCTS is a vocational training company which specialises in training young people.
At 5.00pm, the Archbishop delivered the Roscoe Lecture on Christianity and Citizenship at St George's Hall, Liverpool.
Other speakers in the second series of "Roscoe Century 21 Lectures" have included Lord Jenkins of Hillhead; Mrs Mary McAleese, President of Ireland; Rt Hon Miss Ann Widdecombe MP; Rt Hon David Blunkett MP; and Rt Hon Jack Straw MP.
