The Spouses' Programme will stage its fourth main presentation, "Go Into the All the World: Mission and Evangelism Today and Tomorrow," based on the theme of mission and evangelism, in St. Columba's Hall on Monday, August 3, from 3 to 5 p.m. The event will be a multi-media presentation that treats four themes.

Mission and Creation

This will include dance, live music, and interviews with people from different countries. It will also take a look at environmental issues, considering that the earth is part of God's creation and we share it with many other living things. How we can live in balance with nature is an urgent question.

Suffering and Reconciliation

This will include a large number of interviews with people from countries that have gone through the struggles of war, and how the Church and the Christian faith has been instrumental in recreating a stable and loving community when bloodshed and hatred have destroyed it.

This section will look at numerous methods of mission and evangelism. It will consider the experience that women are effective evangelists when they have the confidence, but they are not always encouraged in this by their own culture and circumstances.

Richard Steel of the Church Missionary Society will give a presentation on the use of the Internet and Cyberspace to further the work of the Church.
