The Rt Revd James Jones, Bishop of Hull, has been appointed Bishop of Liverpool, Church of England. He succeeds the Rt Revd David Sheppard who has retired.

The Revd Wayne Wright, Rector of Grace Church, New Orleans, ECUSA, has been elected bishop of the Diocese of Delaware, USA.

The Rt Revd Joseph Akinfenwa has been consecrated Bishop of Sokoto, Province Three of the Church of the Province of Nigeria. He succeeds the Rt Revd Josiah Idowu-Fearon who who has gone to Kaduna.

The Rt Revd Emmanuel O Chkwuma has been translated from the Diocese of Bauchi to the Diocese of Enugu, Province Three of the Church of the Province of Nigeria.

The Ven Canon Yong Chen Fah has been elected Assistant Bishop of Sabah, Church for the Province of South East Asia.

The Rt Revd Alibuba Lamido has been consecrated Bishop of the New Diocese of Wusasa, Province Three of the Church of the Province of Nigeria.

The Rt Revd Benson Onyeibor has been consecrated Bishop of the new Diocese of Abakaliki, Province Two of the Church of the Province of Nigeria.

The Rt Revd Tom Butler, Bishop of Leicester, has been appointed Bishop of Southwark, Church of England. He succeeds the Rt Revd Roy Williamson who has retired.

The Very Revd William J Hockin, Dean of Christchurch Cathedral Fredericton, has been elected to be Coadjutor Bishop of the Diocese of Fredericton, Church of Canada. He will succeed the Rt Revd George Lemmon when he retires.

The Rt Revd Michael Hough, Bishop of New Guinea Islands, has been elected Bishop of Port Moresby, the Anglican Church of Papua New Guinea.

The Rt Revd Zakka Lalle Nyam, has been consecrated as Bishop of Kano, Church of Nigeria. He succeeds the Rt Revd Benjamin Osebi.
