The Rt Revd Sam Elenwo has been consecrated Bishop of the new Diocese of Niger Delta North Diocese, Church of the Province of Nigeria.

The Ven John Flack, Archdeacon of Pontefract, is to be the new Bishop of Huntingdon in the Diocese of Ely, Church of England. He succeeds the Rt Revd Gordon Roe who is retiring.

The Rt Revd David Gitari, Bishop of Kirinyaga, Kenya, has been elected Archbishop of the Church of the Province of Kenya. He succeeds the Most Revd Manasses Kuria who retired in 1994.

The Rt Revd Ghais Malik, Bishop of Egypt, has been elected President Bishop of Jerusalem and the Middle East. He succeeds the Most Revd Samir Kafity who is retiring.

The Ven Moseki has been elected Bishop of the Diocese of Kimberley and Kuruman, Church of the Province of Southern Africa. He succeeds the Most Revd Njongonkulu Ndungane who has become Archbishop of Cape Town and Primate.

The Rt Revd Patrick Mwachiko has been consecrated Bishop of Masasi, Church of the Province of Tanzania. He succeeds the Rt Revd Christopher Sadiki who has retired.

The Revd Canon David Thomas, Vicar of Newton, has been appointed by the Church in Wales as Assistant Bishop of have pastoral care of those opposed to the ordination of women.

The Rt Revd Eliud Wabukala has been consecrated Bishop of the Diocese of Bungoma, Church of the Province of Kenya.

The Rt Revd Titus Zhenje has been consecrated Bishop of Central Zimbabwe, Church of the Province of Central Africa.
