The Decade of Evangelism is alive in well according to a new report published by the Church of England's Board of Mission. The report entitled, Signs of Life: How goes the Decade of Evangelism? has been written by the Revd Robert Warren, of the Board of Mission. He lists some of the signs that the Church is acting more evangelistically. These include the growth of enquirer groups, the increase in Church-planting, the use of alternative worship, and attendance at training days. Many churches have begun projects which combine outreach and social action. The report acknowledges that as yet there is no upturn in church attendance.
The report also lists some continuing problems. Many churches are not engaging in the Decade activities.
