As previously announced, the Archbishops and Bishops of the Church of Ireland will host a conference for members of the Church’s General Synod on the subject of ‘Human Sexuality in the context of Christian Belief’ at the Slieve Russell Hotel, Ballyconnell, Co Cavan tomorrow, Friday 9th through to Saturday 10th March 2012.

The new Dean of Liverpool is to be the Reverend Canon Dr Pete Wilcox, Downing Street has announced this morning. He becomes the seventh Dean, succeeding the Very Rev Justin Welby who was appointed Bishop of Durham.

The Revd Nigel Genders, currently Diocesan Director of Education for Canterbury diocese, has been appointed Head of School Policy for the Church of England's Board of Education. He will join the staff team at Church House, Westminster in June. He replaces Dr Rob Gwynne who retired last month.
